Welcome to another exciting season at the Mayfield Dinner Theatre! This past season, we had the privilege of presenting you with great Broadway classics like Little Shop of Horrors and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. And from your comments and attendance, you embraced these works with great enthusiasm. We sincerely appreciate your continued patronage, especially during these uncertain economic times. And now (drum roll) for this year!
The 2009-10 Season will bring Broadway to you in a big way! We open with NASHVILLE ICONS, the follow up to 2007’s very popular Nashville Outlaws. This year we celebrate the lives and music of superstars Garth Brooks and Shania Twain, and discover the origins of their music and how all roads seem to lead back to the great Hank Williams .The music of these three artists broke new ground and will stand the test of time.
Next, the beat goes on through our holiday season with THE SUPER GROOVY 70’s. Following last year’s hit Peace Love Rock ‘n Roll Part 2, we continue the journey beyond the 1960’s, and into the Super Groovy 70’s. This show attempts to define the “me” generation and the music and pop culture of the day. It was the best of times, it was the...!!!!
Then, in February we bring you DIAL M FOR MURDER! Is there such a thing as a perfect murder?? Come and see the Inspector unravel this chilling Hitchcock classic told by some of the country’s finest actors.
Our spring musical brings back to our stage the smash hit from London’s West End, BUDDY! Commemorating the 50th anniversary of Buddy’s passing, the Mayfield Theatre will stage the musical that chronicles the life, music and tragic end to one of rock and rolls great pioneers. This show will have you clapping your hands and dancing in your seat…guaranteed.
To close our season, we present to you TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE. This beautiful play is like having “chicken soup for the soul” on the stage every night and even more exciting is that it features the return of one of televisions favourites, Jamie Farr (MASH) to the Mayfield stage!!
